Jerry S. Sher, M.D.

Board Certified Orthopaedic Surgeon
Shoulder Specialist

Dr. Sher has been practicing Orthopaedic Surgery in Miami Beach for over 20 years. Originally a native of New York, he and his family moved to Los Angeles, CA where he grew up with a life long interest in the human body. He obtain his Bachelors of Science at UCLA in Psychobiology and proceeded to obtain his Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) at USC.

With the goal of obtaining top notch training, Dr. Sher relocated again now to S. Florida where he completed his Orthopaedic Surgical Residency at the University of Miami. He then proceeded to complete a year-long fellowship in disorders of the shoulder with the well-known Dr. Joseph Iannotti.

During that time and for many years later, Dr. Sher was very involved in clinical scientific research, producing pivotal data on rotator cuff disease that is still used by surgeons today.

Dr. Sher has a subspecialty interest in minimally invasive treatment of shoulder disorders. He cares for patients with general orthopedic conditions that include the upper and lower extremities and spine. Experience in cell-based and alternate treatments to surgery are also integral to his practice.
